POLI’S APPRO AND DIPOLI’S APPRO – TICKET SALES START
| Poli’s Appro is here again!
Are you still longing for the heat of last summer? Does the memory of the heatwave make you thirsty? DO NOT WORRY! Once again Polin Appro will save all of your dry throats! On November 6th the surroundings of the old Poly-building will be crowded by barcrawlers looking for something to drink in the middle of the desert! This traditional bar crawl held during the Teekkari Tradition Week, led by Aalto people, brings together the whole overall-wearing population – all who are students and student-spirited. The first departure is at 4pm from the bar DTM (Mannerheimintie 6b). There you will get an Appro map, where participants collect performance stamps by visiting partnering bars. The amazing after party starts at Apollo Live Club (Mannerheimintie 16) already at 9pm, but there’s time to barcrawl until 11pm. You can exchange your filled in Appro map to an overall badge.
Year 2019 Polin Appro theme is THE DESERT, so dress up accordingly and bring your own pet camels along! HOXHOX! Ticket sales start next week! So come and get yourself tickets to both Poli’s and Dipoli’s Appro. Poli’s Appro tickets are also sold in kide.app from 10 o’clock on Wednesday 18.9. until sold out. Be aware that the package deal is only on sale in the following ticket sales and there is only a limited amount of them left, so be fast! | The Guild of Architecture’s very own dance crew #swagswagnamnam is starting their fall gym season and all guild members interested in dancing are welcome to join! Sportklubb and the Swags have organized a visit to a dance session on September 25th in the Monitoimitila of Otaniemi in Jämeräntaival 3 starting 8 pm.
The dance training, in addition to choreographies, also includes a wide range of different workouts like strength, improvisation and technique training. The group practices several dance styles such as hip hop, ballet, jazz and vogue. In addition to the workouts, the group performs in a variety of different events throughout the year. So, if you’re interested in any part of the group’s activities, come see what we are about! The workouts are held in the same address every Monday 21pm and Wednesday 20pm. ARTS- HARVEST FESTIVAL SITSIT
| Are you down beet? Feeling meloncholic? Or cornfused by the soon-to-be ending summer?No worries, as ARTS is bringing you Harvest Festival Sitsit! The sitsit-party is our version of Kekri, a traditional Finnish harvest festival. Mother Earth has been generous as an ample harvest was brought to ARTS Wappu Terrace over the summer. It’s time to gather around the table to savour the end products. Leave your hoe to the field, get your field-look on and come to Otaranta Club room on thursday 26.9. at 17.30.
The sign-up begins on thursday 12.9. at 12.00 and ends on 19.9. at 23.55, after which the sign-up will be binding. The sign-up form will be posted on the event page. HvZ is a moderated game of tag where zombie players try to spread the infection by tagging human players. The game is played at Otaniemi campus 18th-21st September. More information can be found on the fb-event.

Healthyappro – AFK and Polijazz This fall, the sports committee organizes Healthyappro, during which nine different sports associations present themselves by organizing nine different sports events. These events will be organized starting from September and lasting until November and after every event, there will also be a possibility for the participants to hangout with the other participants and representatives of the sports associations and enjoy a warm sauna as well as free snacks! All these sports events are free and open for all the students of Aalto! APC FOXES
| What is APC Foxes and how do they practice? → APC Foxes was founded in 2015 for all university students (and graduates) to train cheerleading with a relaxed spirit. APC Foxes performs at different events in Otaniemi Campus. We have cheerleaders with different skill levels, some have been practicing for a few months, some have been competing for years and years. We mainly practice stunting and some tumbling. In stunting, we do all levels from beginners to advanced.Our practices start on Sunday 15th of September at 19:00-21:00, in Otahalli, Aalto-hall (Otaranta 6, 02150 Espoo). We practice also on Tuesdays at 19:00-21:00 in Lintuvaaran koulu (Lintuparvenpuisto 5, 02660 Espoo). Practice fee for the fall is 25e (same for the spring). Do you have experience in cheerleading? New to cheerleading? After “Cheerleading 101” you are welcome to our cheerleading team to our normal practices on Tuesdays and Sundays.
