Culture for your September, here you go!

 

LIGHT AND PICTURE

The Guild of Architecture is full of enthusiastic photographers, soi t is time to get these master pieces on show. On Monday September 29th at 18 PM we gather at the Guild room to enjoy a show full of intriguing shots. Later on the best photos (1 per photographer) will be developed and hanged on the walls at the Guild room.
If you wish to come and present your favourite photos, send them via email to kulttuuri@arkkitehtikilta.fi by Monday September 22nd. If you do not want your photos to be developed for exhibition, please mention this in your message. The presentation of the photos will be arranged, but be prepared to tell the story behind your photos.
If you just wish to come and enjoy some beautiful photography, you’re welcome to do so. Check out the

We are fed up with the objectifying of the female body and the demands that fashion industry causes. Fashion is power and it is time for us to face the responsibilities. We want to show that the only acceptable body image that exist in the fashion industry is not fine by us.

HOTEL MANTA OF HELSINKI
Until 12.10.2014, daily 11.30-17.30
Kauppatori, Helsinki
Hotel Manta of Helsinki is a hotel room built around the statue of Manta in the central Market Square. The space designed by Nishi serves as a hotel room by night, and as an open exhibition space during the day. The work not only creates a new surrealist setting for the monument, it offers a new perspective on the statue. Manta can now be met at eye level. Admission fee is 3 euros.
