Mindfulness–workshops
Do you think that self-criticism helps you to keep high standards and is necessary for success in studies? Research shows that kindness towards ourselves and self-compassion is linked to intrinsic motivation, desire to learn and grow. Self-compassionate students have just as high personal standards but they don’t get so upset when not meeting them. Evidence suggests that regular mindful awareness practice changes how our body and brain respond to stress, improves brain performance and helps to recognize automatic reactions and behavioral patterns. There are Mindfulness-worshops arranged by Aalto’s study and career psychologists this Autumn. More information and sign up here.

Keep an eye out! All the different clubs at Aalto are looking for new members and many are doing basic courses and meets. Maybe you will find your new passion?
