TOKYO’s Christmas Sales in Kiasma 1.-2.12.
TOKYO’s Christmas Sales are coming again! This year the sales are organized in Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma on 1.-2. of December. Two days! 100 tables! Fantastic art & design! Come and show your support to young artistic talents and buy the most unique Christmas presents! Bring your Christmas spirit to Mannerheiminaukio 2, Helsinki center and experience the magic of TOKYO’s Christmas sales! 110. Wähäjoulu afterparty 5.12.
Welcome to the Afterparty of Wähäjoulu!
This year, the afterparty and traditional night swim have been combined in to one great adventure in the waterpark Serena! You are welcome to join the afterparty even if you cannot join the main event. In the pools and saunas you can shrug off the dust of the party, and in the Luolamies -restaurant DJ Windows95Man will guarantee an epic rave! Buses will transport revelers from Otaniemi to Serena after the main event, and back throughout the night. The exact schedule of the buses will be posted later. A ticket costs 30€. EQUIPMENT You may swim with a swimsuit or nude. In the party area and lobby however you are required to wear clothes or a bathing suit. The year, and all of our guild’s 110-jubilee hullabaloo, is coming to an end but don’t worry! There is still a chance to gather together to the Guild of Architecture’s Christmas Party. Village Christmas Party 14.12.
Midsummer comes along every summer, but the Village Christmas Party is only once a year!
Campus Section and OtaHoas are organising the traditional Village Christmas Party on Friday 14 Dec at Rantasauna. The Village elves have magicked a tasty feast to be served with drinks and heated up the sauna for the guests. There will also be fun, Christmassy activities on location. We will also get to enjoy some beautiful live music from 8 pm onwards. All Village residents and likeminded people are welcome at the Village Christmas Party. Annual Ball of the AA-club 15.12.
The AA-club invites all its wonderful architecture and information network students students to celebrate the past year in the Annual Ball of the AA-club, this year in the fashion of Downton Abbey. The grandness of a traditional English country estate mixes with the cozy and safe Smökki in the party that lacks no action. Pick up your best Edwardian dress and join the various crowd of the AA-club!
There will be a Christmas tree, under which those who are willing, can bring their presents for the hosts. We wish, however, everyone to consider the ecology and ethicality of the given present. Staying in Otaniemi for Christmas? Join us in Rantasauna to celebrate Christmas together! Rantsu is filled with magic and anticipation on 24th-25th night, so come wait for Santa in sauna or in hot tub. Come early if you want to help decorate the tree. World Championships of Academic Kyykkä 9.2.
On Saturday, February 9th 2019 the Tampere University campus area in Hervanta, Tampere, will once again be filled with thousands of students who have come to enjoy the spectacle of the World Championships of Academic Kyykkä! Starting at 09:00 in the morning hundreds of teams will fiercely compete for victory on fields around the campus.
The ISE (I Speak English) Series is specially reserved for internationally-minded people and exchange students who would like to compete in academic kyykkä. The official language for the series is English which guarantees that all the referees will speak English and the rules are also available in English. The sign-up for the ISE starts on Saturday, December 1st, 2018 and a spot for one team costs 55 euros. Every team has a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 8. Remember the signup only provides 4 meal tickets and 4 overall badges! Additional items can be purchased through the link. These items are afterparty tickets (10e, maximum 8) and extra overall badges (3e, max 4). The sign-up link will come to our website and to ISE facebook event. Stay tuned and follow us on Facebook and www.kyykka.fi for more information! After the tough matches, it’s good to relax and party a bit, which is why you should attend the official afterparties! The parties take place in the city center of Tampere, at Ravintolamaailma in Koskikeskus shopping center and at Union. At Ravintolamaailma the party atmosphere is guaranteed by an unbelievable electropop artist Alex Mattson, and at Union by a Finnish freestyle rap duo Lyömättömät. Both clubs also have their own DJ’s to keep the party going all night. Nyyti Ry survey
Nyyti ry is a national Finnish non-profit organisation founded in 1984. Our operations are funded by Finland’s Slot Machine Association (RAY). More info about Nyyti can be found here: https://www.nyyti.fi/en/ The purpose of our operations is to support students’ mental health and life management. We aim to improve students’ study skills and ability to cope with everyday life as well as related peer activities. Moreover, we aim to enhance the skills of people in charge of mental health promotion and problem prevention among students and in student communities. We want to get feedback and suggestions for the future regarding Nyyti’s web activities, website, and online content. Your opinion is very important to us, and it will help us develop our operations. It only takes 5 – 10 minutes to fill out the survey. The survey is meant both for students and the professionals who work with them. The results shall be analyzed in confidence and anonymously so that none of the participants can be identified based on the answers.
