With the poll, we map the need for digital teaching. The poll is for both BA and MA students.

Do you think programs/software are taught too little? Have you had difficulties finishing a course due to a lack of software skills? Do you have feedback about the digital clinic or other help offered by the department?

You have a week to fill out the poll, it will close on 14.2. at 8pm. the results will be discussed at the next Department coffee hour on 15.2.

BIG-recruitment is here again!

 In addition to organizing events, BIGs are responsible for introducing freshmen to student life and creating a safe and fun environment for incoming freshmen. In fact, being a BIG is one of the most fun task in terms of events and parties!   

 

If you have the enthusiasm it is definitely worth applying to be a BIG. If you want to hear more or have any questions, you can come to meet us at the guildroom on 15.2. at 17.00. We will hold a BIG-info with future fuksicaptains and the master of masters in an informal event <3

II Upcoming events Advocacy Coffee Break 13.2. at  5.00 p.m. The Board arranges a low-effort Advocacy Coffee Break on Mon 13.2. at 17-18 in the Guild Room (before Department Coffee Hour arranged in the same week). The purpose of the event is to discuss main themes of the Department Coffee Hour (digital teaching and academic freedom) and other topics relating to advocacy and studies in a relaxed manner. In the event we can for example make questions and plan concrete suggestions for the Department that we can present in the next Department Coffee Hour. Welcome to discuss! Coffee provided and some snacks. Psst. It is highly recommended to go and answer to the Guild’s questionnaire concerning digital teaching! – ☕️Department Coffee Hour☕️ 15.2. at 3.30 p.m. The next Department Coffee Hour will be on Wed. 15.2. at 15:30-17 in Väre Q101. Department Coffee Hour is a conversational event between the students and faculty of the Department of Architecture arranged four times a year. Just as the name suggests, something small will be served at the Department coffee. This time our topics are digital teaching, academic freedom and other topics. The results of the Guild’s Digital Teaching questionnaire will be represented in the beginning of the event. Remember to answer the questionnaire! If you want to express your thoughts in advance, you can share them on this Flinga board that will be presented during the event (https://flinga.fi/s/F5GDUFL). You can also participate via Zoom (https://aalto.zoom.us/j/67536095974).   – Budget workshop 20.2. The Guild Board will arrange the Budget Workshop on Mon. 20.2. in the Guild Room at 17-18.
