The Discussion Club of Architecture Students, founded in 1908, has evolved to a lively and renowned Guild of Architecture. This year we are celebrating the 110-year long journey with our members, alumni and the whole university student body.

We have had the opportunity to enjoy fabulous and architectural events. The year started off with an enormous New Years party, after which all boards of the Guild’s have gathered, the Guild’s dance group #swägswägnamnam celebrated their 5th anniversary, the Guild spread Wappu feeling and balloons at Ullanlinnanmäki and the members have prepared for the Annual Ball in sports events.

The 110-Seminar: Sustainable Design will be held on 20th October in the Undergrad Centre’s architecture wing. The speaker come from different backgrounds, for example Patrick Thurston, Marco Casagrande, Johanna Brummer and Esa Piispanen. The event will be held partially in English and all interested in the subject are welcome.

The year culminates with the Annual Ball Wähäjoulu, on the eve of the Finnish Independence Day 5th December.
