Fri 29.4. Fuksipeijaiset 2016
The freshmen of this academic year present their spexes on Friday April 29th in the Aalto Hall. Fuksispeksit are part of Fuksipeijaiset, the competition that decides in which order the freshmen get their Teekkari caps on the following morning. The doors to the great hall open at 4pm, and the show starts at 4.30pm. Be sure to be there in time, as quite a lot of people are going to come there. During the evening you shall see 13 10-minute spexes. Please remember that it’s forbidden to bring your own alcoholic beverages to the university premises.
The second part of Yöjäynä starts with a bang at the Alvar square on Wednesday April 29th at 9.00pm, right after the Fuksispeksit event in Aalto Hall. Come and cheer the freshman teams in their first nightly challenge!

As the sun sets down on the 29th of April Otaniemi is filled with Wappuspirit and a sense of adventure! Teams crawl around the campus on wild and witty checkpoints and compete for the title of the Craziest Team™!
The official after party will make sure your fun doesn’t end after completing the crawl! Pelmu, the live music association of Otaniemi, is having their annual Wappufestival at Smökki and all crawlers are welcome free of charge!

Sa 30.4. Declaration of Wappu Rowdiness
With great Wappu comes great Rowdiness!
Welcome to see the Declaration of Wappu Rowdiness on Wappu eve! All the fuzz starts at 1PM with jazz band of Polirytmi, continued by several winners of wappu competitions. At 3PM, from the roof of Smökki, can we hear the beginning of traditional Wappu-time festivities. Come celebrate to the Smökki courtyard! Come experience the Wappu Rowdiness and meet with all the other people!

The wappupunch of the Guild of Architecture! Welcome to the traditional wappupunch at the time of the capping of the Manta statue. The host and hostess of the guild will be serving mead next to the statue of Runeberg in Esplanad, Helsinki. The capping of Manta happens at 18.00. Be there! :)
The best way to arrive to the capping of Manta and the wappupunch is the Guilds own wappubus! The bus leaves from the Guildroom at 16.00. Sign up here.

This year you are able to witness the biggest May Day party of the history as Otahalli will serve us as the venue. After all mood boosting events of the day it is time to head back to Otaniemi. Do the right thing and join us in making your may day one to remember. Time to go nuts but don’t forget to also chill out. For the first time we also host a totally separate Lounge-area. You won’t see Otahalli like this again any time soon or ever. The midnight celebrations are of known quality and this is the place to raise your caps up before finally putting them on. Mon 2.5. Collective Wappuhangover
The best way to recover from Wappu is here! Arrive to the Guild room on monday 2.5 to watch movies and hang out with friends. Your hangover will disappear in seconds! We start at 4 pm. There will be some food but if you are really hungry we recommend to bring your own food also. If you have great movies you can also bring them.
