Once upon a time in an enchanted forest magical creatures lived together in harmony and peace. Until one day, a careless drunk fairy brought the inevitable doom upon the denizens of the forest. Fire started spreading and nothing could stop the destruction. Thousands of living beings were affected and had to adapt to their new environment. The fairies were tough though. Instead of becoming exiles, they decided to make the most of their suffering and enjoy their last minutes to the fullest. The fairyfire is eternal and so is this party, come and join the celebration!

Good vs. Evil sitsit 2.11.

signup is open!

Once upon a time, many years ago came the Guild of Architecture, Kannunvalajat and Rakennusarkkitehtikilta together in a magnificent feast with lots of singing, fantastic cuisine and plentiful spirits. The whole kingdom celebrated the wonderful gathering and all was well. Has one ever encountered such a harmonous alliance, must they also realise it shall not continue in definitely. Disastrous forces infultrated the feast causing chaos and mayhem amongst the benevolent folk. Luring half the crowd on to the dark side, divided the evil spirits the jolly company for good.

Forces must be united again, not just within the kind and pure or the maleficent, but together in serenity. Are the fairy tales correct in that there is just good and evil, or may we discover both in all of us?

Dress up in your most fabled attire to take part in a feast bringing all and everyone together despite their differencies or similarities. Let’s find each other again as a whole, not only separates.

Invitation Open Doors events – Embassy

of the Netherlands in Helsinki 13.-14.11.

Because of the 100 year relations between Finland and the Netherlands, we organize Open Doors events at our historical wooden Residence ‘Villa Kleineh’ in Kaivopuisto.

We offer an interesting program of 75 minutes, in which we show people around the beautiful house and tell about the history of our relation with Finland and the work of an Embassy (see invitation).

The events take place on 13 & 14 November and are free of charge. I believe it is a very interesting and unique experience for students, especially because embassies rarely open their doors to the public. I would appreciate it if you could send the invitation forward to your members of the student community at Aalto University.

In case you would like to come as a group, we can also arrange a suitable time for this. Please let me know if you have any further questions about the event.

Note that we have limited seats and students need to register via this link: https://opendoorsnl.eventbrite.com

Kind regards,
Raymond van Teeffelen
Research Officer
