Representative Council elections are approaching

Don’t settle for grumbling, join the Representative Council! Representative Council elections will be held this autumn: you can run for candidacy on 2–29 Sept and you can vote on 28 Oct–3 Nov2021.

The Representative Council has an essential role in the Student Union’s decision-making. The Representative Council decides on AYY’s major policies, strategic goals, policies and opinions. These include, among other things, the Student Union’s strategy, values, by-laws, budgets, policy papers and the up to 17 million euro budget. The Representative Council duties do not include daily activities or detailed preparations. Over the past year, the Representative Council has approved AYY’s strategy and the plan of action guiding AYY’s operations on a practical level and has decided to proceed with the Student Center project.

So have influence on the student union matters by running for candidacy or at least by voting in the elections!
