Do you yearn to sing during Wappu? Can you feel the awakening of Wappu’s spirit? Does it feel like Wappu-sitsis didn’t satisfy the need to sing? If you answered yes to any of the questions up above, The Songleader Committee is here to offer salvation. Join us in the Wappu-spirit-lifting Singing Sauna in Rantasauna on 26th of April at 6 pm. Have you also been wondering what are the other organization spaces and guild rooms in K-Wing? And who are the people in there?? Now is your chance to know!
The student organizations NuDe, Guild of Architecture, GRRR, Kooma and DaDa are going to open up their spaces for others to explore in a Guild room/Organization space adventure!

The goal is to visit each room and its activity, meet other ARTS students and at the end be a little bit wiser about what’s around your space!
Instructions:
Go to your own space, get a map, gather a small group and start your adventure.

Come to the Guild Room on Wednesday 27.4 at 5 pm for some mocktail making and getting in that Wappu spirit!

K-Citymarket Iso Omena offers us the opportunity of trying out their non-alcoholic beverages and mocktail ingredients. ✨ Join us to make some tasty drinks and try out new ones for the upcoming festivities!

Enrol here Tuesday 18 pm at latest to estimate the participants.

At 20 pm there is a common start to the Sober Furious party organized by the Darravapaa community at Kuudes Linja club. Do you wish to come but do not yet have a ticket? We have two spare group tickets, if interested dm @katarinajakobsson

The event is alcohol free. Kindly do not bring alcoholic beverages!

 Wappu Exchange to Tampere
28.4. / at 9 am // Otaniemi / Hervanta, Tampere

It’s time to party, when the bus full of Otaniemi students goes to Hervanta on 28.4. to check Tampere wappu happenings. The day is full of priceless moments you don’t want to miss! The bus leaves from Otaniemi at 9am and returns home around 4am. Only 60 fastest will get their places on the bus, so act fast! Ticket price is 30€ including tansports and the after party. Tickets will be available on Kide.app on Thursday 14.4. at 12pm. Event is organized in cooperation with Teekkari Union of Tampere!

Fuksispeksi’s
29.4. at 4-8 pm // Dipoli / Otaniemi

The Fuksispeksis of the 2022 Fuksipeijaiset are here!

The Fuksispeksis are held in Dipoli in the Kaleva Hall on Friday 29th of April at 4:00 PM. The doors of Kaleva Hall will be open for audience at 3:30 PM. Let laughter and shouts of Omstart! echo in the hallways of Dipoli. Let there be cheer and goodwill from the crowd towards all performers.
For the half-time show, we have an unbelievable show by Teekkarispeksi!
Arrive to Dipoli and bring with you your excellent sense of humour, a couple of well timed Omstart! shouts and a large portion of freshman mindness and prepare to enjoy the product of the minds, creativity and hard work of the freshmen.
After the fuksispeksis the beginning of Yöjäynä takes place in Alvar’s square at 20:00 sending each team to their nocturnal adventure.

Tour de Walpuri
29.4. / at 8 pm // Otaniemi

Tour de Walpuri arrives once again in all its true glory to shock, inspire and unite the whole Otaniemi nation and all Aalto-minded people on the 29th of April. During the evening, the entire Teekkari Village will be taken over by the most massive checkpoint tour of the Walpuri era without comparison. So make sure you haven’t mistakenly come up with anything else to do on 29.4.

The tour starts at 8pm after the Yöjäynä kick-off and lasts until late into the night. If you still have some juice left after the tour, you can continue the evening with the Wappu Festival organized by AaltoDJ and Pelmu.

Registration is not needed, just show up. The tour will happen in teams of 4–10 people. Checkpoint maps will be distributed around Otaniemi on the day of the event. The best teams will be rewarded with great prizes at the Declaration of Wappu rowdiness at Smökki on Wappu Eve. The best checkpoint will also receive free use of one of AYY’s one-off saunas for one night in the summer or autumn of the current year.

Declaration of Wappu
30.4. / at 12 pm // in front of Smökki / Otaniemi

Once again, the time has come to raise the teekkari & graduation caps and celebrate the most special Spring festivity! Tuning into May Day Eve’s festive atmosphere is guaranteed by arriving in front of Smökki at 12 PM to follow the traditional Declaration of Wappu Rowdiness. There will be music performances, awards, speeches, and the magnificent highlight of the day, the declaration, which will take place at 2 PM on the roof of Smökki! Read more here.

Guild’s Wappu ferry
30.4. / at 3.30 pm // Otaniemen saaristolaituri, Otaranta
The wappu ferry makes a return after 2 years.
The ferry transports 120 architecture students to the market square just before the guilds wappu punch and the hatting of the Havis Amanda statue
Registration starts for 100 first 11.4. 12:00, second registration possibility for the 20 last tickets is announced later.

The ferry is drinking area and its bar is open.
Guilds punch is at the Runeberg’s statue at 17:00 and hatting of Havis Amanda at 18:00.

Guild’s Wappu punch & Havis Amanda

The Guild of Architecture’s Brewing committee is serving Wappu punch at Kolmen sepän patsas at 5 pm.

Havis Amanda gets their cap traditionally placed at 6 pm in Kauppatori.

Wiinaton Wappu
30.4. / at 8 pm // Smökki / Otaniemi

On Eve of the first of May, at Smökki, there is going to be Wiinaton Wappu, a non-alcoholic wappu party. There will be entertaining wappu activities, like contests, quizzes, wappu atmosphere without forgetting the traditional wappu foods. Live music is also present, when SRO Musalinja, a four-band ensemble from Kauniainen, will climb on stage. Therefore, you are very welcome to join and celebrate teekkariwappu in good company! The event is organized by the Guild of the Cross.

Dipolin Wappu

 Wappu has been declared and so will Dipolis’ Wappu as well! Wappu celebrations come to their climax as Dipolin Wappu gathers all of Otaniemi together to press their caps on their heads on the 30th of April. This is a party you don’t want to miss! The Board of the Guild of Architecture is serving Wappu brunch at Ullanlinnanmäki 1.5. – Guild’s tent and flag marks the spot.

IK x AK: Family/Friend-sitsi’s

Family is the best and friends are fun <3 What’s also fun is AK x IK family & friends sitsit and the theme for it is blue, green and purple. The colors co-ordinate how you’re related to your avec.

So grab your mom, best friend, cousin, partner, neighbor or your aunt’s cat’s godparent to celebrate the celebration of colors to Smökki on Saturday 11th of May! The cocktail party starts at 6pm and the sitsit begins at 6:30pm.

Registration opens on Thursday April 28th at 12 and becomes binding on May 6th at the end of registration. There are 90 spots for IK and 90 spots for AK so you better be fast! Avecs are included in the limited spots for each guild. When you register for the event, you need to fill in your avec’s information too.

Aaltoes’ Vappu Van is back!

An official announcement TG-channel for the Guild of Architecture has been made!
Announcements and info about events and news aimed towards the members of the Guild will be messaged on the channel.
For now info about events, etc will be announced on the Arkkitehtikilta-group chat as well, but finding the information will now be easier with the help of an announcement channel. ⭐

The main languages on the channel are Finnish and English.
For now the admin rights for the channel belong to this year’s Board of the Guild of Architecture. (2022)
