I General
Department Coffee Hour 19.4.
Hi, Guild members!
A couple months ago, we got to discuss common themes with the faculty of the department for the first time in a long while. And as it seems, we aren’t going to run out of topics to talk about in a while! This next Department coffee hour focuses on topics like the education portfolio renewal and the themes highlighted Stop Cutting Arts. Open discussion follows the more structured conversations.
So, we invite you to the Department coffee hour, a conversational event between the students and faculty of the Department of Architecture, in front of the A2 lecture hall in Otakaari 1X, on Tuesday 19 April at 3 pm.
You may also join the event via Zoom: https://aalto.zoom.us/j/66136657641, in which case the event starts at 3.10 pm.
Just as the name suggests, something small will be served at the Department coffee. If you want to express your thoughts in advance, you can share then on this Flinga board that will be presented during the event: https://flinga.fi/s/FBMPCTY

Stop Cutting Arts-discussion at Dipoli 20.4.
Dear ARTS students,
We have had a lively discussion around ‘Stop cutting arts’ recently. Thank you for it!
The Aalto university leadership has been asked to participate in the discussion, most recently in the Instagram discussion around our QS ranking success.
I have the pleasure of inviting you all to a discussion with Provost Kristiina Mäkelä, Vice President of Education Petri Suomala and Chief Financial Officer Marianna Bom on Wednesday 20.4.2022 at 10.00 on ‘Stop cutting arts’ themes.
The location will be Dipoli, Lumituuli-hall. There will be a webinar transmission of the event also on Zoom – so you can observe the discussion online (the Zoom link will be added to this invitation later). If you wish to actively participate, I’d invite to be present in Dipoli.
Hope to continue the discussion next week!
Wishing you all a relaxing Easter break,
Tuomas Auvinen
