Dear guildmates,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here follows the last but not (at least in length) least weekly digest of this spring. The semester has gone by at a record speed once again. Hopefully the rest of the courses won’t weigh too much on our hearts anymore, as no-one surely wants to spend any time indoors in this wonderful spring air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the following weeks, there will be a chance to attend the last guild and institution coffees of this spring, a (really important) extra meeting, some sits, and the Tokyo spring meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would also like to thank everyone who participated in the guild activities for a wonderful semester, and remind everyone to visit (in my opinion) the BEST student restaurant, Studio Kipsari, before it closes on the 31. of May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was a pleasure to inform you during this spring, see you again in the fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pre-Emptying the Guildroom corridor on 22.5.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

K-wing corridor, where our guild room is located, will be cleaned and emptied this spring because of a fire inspection. If there are any of your stuff in the corridor or coat rack, please take them away before Tuesday 21.5.! The date mentioned on the picture is different, because we are doing a pre-emptying of the corridor on 22.5., so it\u2019s better that you save your things early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anything left on the corridor\/coat rack will be thrown away.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

ARTS summer cleaning 2024:<\/strong> Collect your belongings from A – wing (before the 26.5.) and V\u00e4re (before the 5.6.)<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Due to Aalto’s selection test arrangements, all home nests must be emptied:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the A wing of Otakaari 1 no later than Monday 27 May 2024 at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In V\u00e4re no later than Thursday 6 June 2024 at 5 p.m<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ARTS infra’s workshops are closed for annual maintenance. All personal items must be picked up from the workshops no later than Wednesday 12 June. at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The A wing of Otakaari 1 will be closed to students for cleaning from July 1 to July 31, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

V\u00e4re’s compartments must be emptied for maintenance no later than Thursday 13 June. at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Otakaari 1st floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor. and 3rd floor the white cabinets and student work storage shelves in the lobby must be emptied on Thursday, June 13. by 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Claim your belongings in time, because the university has no way to store unclaimed goods, they can be disposed of during the summer break.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For continuing students the enrolment period for 2024\u20132025 academic year is from 2 May to 30 August 2024. New master students can enrol after the student selection results have been published. You can enrol in the OILI service<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tempaus 2024: 21.10. – 27.10.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Tempaus Command of the Engineer with a sturdy beard, Sheryl Tokyo, and Kunniamursu was read at Aalto Open Air and the Declaration of Wappu Madness. The theme of Tempaus is now clear: increasing the appreciation of volunteer work in Finland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the economy tightens, workplace productivity has become increasingly crucial. Nevertheless, we should not forget about work for which you cannot set a price. Volunteer work cuts across the entire Finnish society and has been evident in the community spirit throughout history. It also holds significant value. It is ultimately about caring for others and genuine altruism, which are also reflected in small daily acts. Many of us engage in volunteer work by donating blood, cleaning up litter from nature, or participating in sports club activities. In our view, volunteer work today does not receive the appreciation it deserves in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We invite the entire Aalto community to pay attention to all the volunteer work being done in Finland. Let\u2019s bring up everyone\u2019s efforts together! The preliminary dates for Tempaus are 21\u201327 Oct, when we will mobilise in large numbers to campaign within cooperative associations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
