Hi, Guild members!<\/strong><\/p>\n

A couple months ago, we got to discuss common themes with the faculty of the department for the first time in a long while. And as it seems, we aren\u2019t going to run out of topics to talk about in a while! This next Department coffee hour focuses on topics like the education portfolio renewal and the themes highlighted Stop Cutting Arts. Open discussion follows the more structured conversations.<\/p>\n

So, we invite you to the Department coffee hour, a conversational event between the students and faculty of the Department of Architecture, in front of the A2 lecture hall in Otakaari 1X, on Tuesday 19 April at 3 pm. <\/strong><\/p>\n

We have had a lively discussion around \u2018Stop cutting arts\u2019 recently. Thank you for it!<\/span><\/p>\n

The Aalto university leadership has been asked to participate in the discussion, most recently in the Instagram discussion around our QS ranking success.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wappu is approaching fast and so is the AK x PT Wappusp\u00e5ra! Hop on to the tram and speed to the Wappu spirit, accompanied by an awesome atmosphere, an entertaining program and new friends. There will be for example Sp\u00e5rabingo and karaoke, not to mention thirst quencing yoga!<\/p>\n

The Wapputram will leave from Mikonkatu stop on Wednesday 20 April at 5 pm and you can also jump aboard from the same stop at 6 pm. The ride ends at Mikonkatu at 7 pm. Bring your own refreshments!<\/p>\n

ARTS joins for this spring\u2019s soap bubble themed Wappu party!<\/p>\n

Get a head start for Wappu week on Friday 22.4 at Otaniemi Sm\u00f6kki, starting at 18:00 pm. There will be a live band, DJ and a chill program. There will be snacks and drinks on offer and, of course, lots and lots of soap bubbles! So put on your most light colored clothes and join us for the most wonderful party for Wappu!<\/p>\n

Teekkarius 150 Event Committee will fill the air with the colors of Wappu on the 23rd of April! Color Carnival\u2019s center of attention is a fun-filled color obstacle course, where the bravest can compete in teams to complete the course surrounded in colored powder. Assemble your team of 2-8 people to compete!<\/p>\n

Tour de Walpuri
\n<\/strong><\/span>29.4. \/ at 8 pm \/\/ Otaniemi<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Tour de Walpuri arrives once again in all its true glory to shock, inspire and unite the whole Otaniemi nation and all Aalto-minded people on the 29th of April. During the evening, the entire Teekkari Village will be taken over by the most massive checkpoint tour of the Walpuri era without comparison. So make sure you haven’t mistakenly come up with anything else to do on 29.4.<\/p>\n

The tour starts at 8pm after the Y\u00f6j\u00e4yn\u00e4 kick-off and lasts until late into the night. If you still have some juice left after the tour, you can continue the evening with the Wappu Festival organized by AaltoDJ and Pelmu.<\/p>\n

Registration is not needed, just show up. The tour will happen in teams of 4\u201310 people. Checkpoint maps will be distributed around Otaniemi on the day of the event. The best teams will be rewarded with great prizes at the Declaration of Wappu rowdiness at Sm\u00f6kki on Wappu Eve. The best checkpoint will also receive free use of one of AYY’s one-off saunas for one night in the summer or autumn of the current year.<\/p>\n
