\nAt the end of the first day of school come meet old and new friends in Otarannan kerhotila when this year’s Wood Program introduces itself. Come meet new people from Department of Architecture, eat good food or just chat with your school mates after the summer break.

\nWelcome to the launch of the A_Pocket Student Design Competition! The kick-off event will host talks by the competition organizers and jury members introducing the design brief and the competition site at Otakaari 1 X. The event will take place in the beautifully renovated A-Wing (room A1). The two-phase competition seeks innovative design interventions and concepts of spatial, social, aesthetic and programmatic quality. The organizers hope to see a diverse range of different approaches, and invite students from all Aalto Schools to participate. Submitted proposals are awarded with ECTS credits, and finalists selected for the 2. phase will compete for cash prizes of 4 000 \u20ac in total. Note: Only enrolled Aalto students are eligible to participate in the competition.

\nBe aware Helsinki! The Eastern Harbour City trembles on Tuesday 12.9. when freshmen crawl from one checkpoint to another in the center of Helsinki. The event starts at 6PM at the Senate Square, and the afterparty starts at 9PM at Club Capital (Fredrikinkatu 51). The entrance fee for the afterparty is 2\u20ac + cloakroom 3\u20ac.

\nWelcome to celebrate the end of the first work week on the Guild’s traditional pub crawl! The evening begins with chalk drawing on the cliffs of Katri Vala Park in S\u00f6rn\u00e4inen from 6pm forward. After some artistic self actualisation we take over Kallio’s bar scene in smaller groups. Come meet old and new students and share the latest gossip!<\/p>\n
\nIt is autumn again! Semester starts, new students are coming and graduated are departing. Otaniemi flea market day brings people together and offers a great opportunity to give a new life to items. So come and sell things you don’t need but someone else could fancy or to make great findings. On Sunday 17.9.2017 Sm\u00f6kki will tien into a flea market. Waffles and coffee for 1 euro\/piece.

\n145 years\u2019 worth of technical students are being celebrated at the Teekkari traditions party at Dipoli on the 10th of November 2017. The price is 90\u20ac for students and 115\u20ac for alumni. You may also support the party with a support ticket costing 145\u20ac. The dress code is evening dress with academic honors.
