Welcome to the Guild of Architecture, all new English-speaking students! Here’s the first English newsletter of this academic year!<\/p>\n

Guild Coffee<\/h3>\n

Join your fellow Guild members for the first Guild coffee<\/a> of the Academic year in Metallimiehenkuja 4 at 12.30 pm.<\/p>\n

Kaukkarit party<\/h3>\n

On Friday 4th of September starting at 8pm Sm\u00f6kki will be the venue for the best party of the orientation week<\/a>! DJ and live music will keep the party going on for hours.
\nCome and meet new people, old friends and enjoy yourself before the hard work begins.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tickets cost 5\u20ac beforehand and 6\u20ac from the door on Friday (if there’s any left). The price has a badge included!<\/p>\n

Tickets are sold at the main buildings lobby during the orientation week from Monday to Thursday 10-14. Be fast when buying your ticket, you don’t want to miss this!<\/p>\n

Caf\u00e9 Lingua Season Opener<\/h3>\n

New people, new cultures, new languages? Tea, sauna and a hot tub on a late-summer evening? Chatting with people from all around the world? Yes, Mosaic’s Caf\u00e9 Lingua is back to open the academic year with a fantastic evening!<\/p>\n

Once every month, one of the lovely venues of Otaniemi will turn into a caf\u00e9 hosting an open language & culture exchange event, the Caf\u00e9 Lingua<\/a>. The point is to get to know people, practice languages, learn about cultures and enjoy a cup of tea at the same time. You can also bring your own refreshments, and do bring your towel for the sauna and the hot tub!<\/p>\n

City Orienteering in Helsinki<\/h3>\n

Be aware Helsinki!<\/p>\n

The Eastern Harbour City trembles on Tuesday 8.9. when freshmen crawl from one checkpoint to another in the center of Helsinki.<\/p>\n

The event<\/a> starts at 6PM at the Senate Square, and the afterparty starts at 9PM at Nightclub Tiger (Urho Kekkosen katu 1 A).<\/p>\n

The entrance fee for the afterparty is 2\u20ac + cloakroom 3\u20ac (only if you leave belonings)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Campus Festival<\/h3>\n

Festival season over and out? Did you miss Flow and the other summer festivals?
\n– No problem!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Now you have a great chance to meet the biggest music associations of Otaniemi at campus festival<\/a>! Come to Servin m\u00f6kki to check out the stands of either your favorite or all of the clubs, there’s plenty to choose from. All artists will also have their own gig during the night. Unlike most other festivals, this one is totally free of charge!<\/p>\n

Urban Bonfire<\/h3>\n

The Bonfire<\/a> gathers together all (young) adults interested in scouting experiences. You are welcome to join the event no matter if you\u2019re an old scout or new to it. Take your friends with and pop in to enjoy the scout atmosphere and action at the biggest bonfire in Helsinki! Awesome badge for those who sign up beforehand!<\/span><\/p>\n

ANTIKIIMA<\/h3>\n

On the 17th of September Otaniemi can once again go crazy at ANTIKIIMA<\/a>! Let the creativity flow when it comes to dressing up to this party. Bring your fanny bags and borat-suits and get ready to get your groove on ;) There will also perform the lovely dance group #SWAGSWAGNAMNAM and DJ Moshfunk will be in charge of the party music!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
