Behaviour at the guild room

Hello guildmembers!

The guild room and especially the kitchen have been left in terrible mess many times during this fall. When using common spaces such as our guild room, it should be self-explanatory that you always have to clean up your own dishes and other trash before leaving. Attitudes and actions should change towards better from now on OR THE GUILD ROOM WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Lets make the guild room a cleaner place together, which can be only achieved if everyone starts acting as they should.

Remember that if you bring people from outside the guild to spend time at the guild room you are always responsible for them and mess they make.

As a reminder

here are some rules you should follow when using the guild room:
  1. When entering the guild room take your shoes off and put them on the shoe rack.
  2. Don’t take any plates, coffee mugs etc. away from the guild room.  If you have to eat upstairs bring your own tableware.
  3. If you prepare food at the guild room, wash your dishes and clean the kitchen immediately after cooking.
  4. If you want to store some food in the fridge, always put your name and date on it. Food left in the fridge will be thrown out after a week. Don’t leave any leftovers or extra foodstuff at the guild room.
  5. Always put your own trash in the proper trash can. If the bins are full, please use the ones upstairs instead of piling trash next to the bin.
  6. The guild room is not a temporary storage for schoolwork or personal belongings. Stuff left at the guild room will be thrown away or taken to the AYY lost and found.
  7. It is prohibited to drink alcohol at the guild room as the space is owned by the Aalto university. It can only be done with a special permission that the guild board must request from the university.
  8. Kiltis is not the place for a party or an afterparty. There is always something happening in Teekkarikylä, please take your friends there
  9. If you want to organize an event at the guild room, please contact me or some other guild board member.

Wishing for a cozier guildroom,
